3. 3D Printed Skeleton Hand: Halloween Self-Adjusting Coaster

Let this Skeleton Hand handle your drink! This is mostly print-in-place, self-adjusting coaster, that needs NO supports.

”Mostly” because whole hand with mechanism is Print in place, the only part printed separately is the round pad, which you just need to place on top of the hand.

Additional accessories include a handcuff with a chain and a manacle, which you can easily snap onto the wrist of the hand for an extra visual touch!

Clearance between moving parts is very big, so every printer should print this design without any problem.

The Hand Coaster automatically adjusts to the size of the object, it can grip both a mug and a standard aluminum can.

4. 3D Printed Surprise Coffin

It comes with 2 skeletons - a good guy and a bad guy, and several cover types . The coffin is a print-in-place with 3MF files included with a very small amount of waste , But you can color it with a regular printer as well by switching colors mid-print!

Please read the instructions:

Printing:

  • The MF skeleton requires supports only under his hands, create some manual supports for this (Although it might print well without)

  • Coffin: No supports, No Brim, Very good adhesion is needed and be careful of warping if you don't have enclosed printer. If you print using AMS - you can disable prime tower to save some filament.

  • Mattress: Create a custom support for part of the lower area if it falls. Do not print it laying down as quality will be worse.

  • Covers - All require supports for the bottom, with AMS you can remove prime tower.

  • For all coloring with a regular printer you can swap filaments mid-print to get same results.

5. 3D Printed Bad Carrot

With that being said - A new bad member is joining the family! Meet Bad Carrot! This one is a little different then Avocado & Peach as it was not really possible to hide the hands inside the carrot in the same way as previously, So I made something completely different. It's multi-part so no AMS/any other Multi-color is required.

Printing & Assembly

  • Print the carrot with Organic / Tree supports where necessary.

  • All other parts do not require supports.

  • When printing the Pot_Cover make sure you have a single layer line for the openings - take a look at the included image. This means if you are scaling it up, make sure to push the model beneath the print bed if it becomes 2 layers or more! Your first layer must be flawless.

  • Attaching all parts may require some glue.

Assembly is super easy with every part fitting it's place, you might want to use some glue to connect the parts and you probably should use some for the Pot_Cover

7. 3D Printed Flexi Corn Cob - Pencil case

Flexi Corn Cob is perfect pencil case and a fun fidget toy. Since it’s designed to be printed in place without supports, it should be a straightforward print.

Please dont print the whole model - test your filament first. I would strongly recomend to use new spool for this model.

Easy way to open it  - is to deacrese your normal printing temperature by 5-10 degrees.

Please dont use sharp tools.

8. 3D Printed Banana Fridge Magnets

Stackable Banana fridge magnets. Put a bunch aside when you don’t need them.

Single and multi-color printing models are included as STL and 3MF! They work with all current and usual multi color setups.

Instructions

  • Get 10 x 2 mm neodymium magnets, preferably in N45 or N52 strength. You will need two per banana. It might work with 10 x 1 or 10 x 3 mm magnets, too - but that is not tested.

  • Print as many bananas as you want. 18 of them form a full circle.

  • The little magnet cap is optional - It is 0.4 mm thick and will add to optics but reduce strength slightly. Decide if you want to print it or not and proceed accordingly.

  • Print the inserts. They have a small cut that serves as rotation help when aligned with the small cut inside of the bananas hollow part. There are two sizes provided. Depending on your magnet tolerance and cap choice, one of both will work fine. If you are not satisfied with the alignment, you can scale the insert slightly.

  • Glue the parts into the banana in this order: Magnet, Insert, Magnet, Cap (optional).

  • For each consecutive banana you need to make sure that the magnet alignment is correct. You can easily do this by assembling one top of your original banana. When inserting the bottom magnet, you can already feel if it is rotated correctly.

  • Enjoy!

Size of one banana: 73 x 45 x 18 mm

21. 3D Printed iPod – Engineered for Zero Purpose. Designed for Maximum Clicks

I loved my iPod Classic when I was younger - this design is my way of bringing back the satisfying feel of its iconic click wheel and paying tribute to a legendary Apple product.

Inspired by the nostalgic design of the iPod Classic, this 3D printed fidget toy features a rotating dial that produces tactile clicks with every turn. It even emulates the classic menu animation with a moving blue highlight ribbon.

23. 3D Printed Marblevator, Emoji

It's difficult to determine whether this animated "Marblevator, Emoji" emoji has "telekinetic powers" or is just amazed at the apparent physics defying properties of the marble track. In any case, the grandkids enjoyed it and that makes my very happy!

As usual, I probably forgot a file or two or who knows what else, so if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask as I do make plenty of mistakes.

24. 3D Printed Small Slinky Snake

Description

I've always wanted to try designing a 3D printed slinky, and what could be slinkier than a snake? It can stretch out to a full meter in length. It prints standing on end, using tree supports that form a cradle for the tail to keep it stable.

Post Printing

DO NOT just try to yank this apart after printing - the coils are easy to kink. First, remove the tree support base - it should break free pretty easily, but you can use cutters if necessary to help break it away.

Then, to free up the spring, gently poke a thin blade, like a pocket knife or xacto knife into the gap between the coils and then then work the blade along the entire length of the coil to free it up. I actually used the back side of an xacto knife blade rather than the sharp edge, wiggling it a little as I went to break the coils free.

31. 3D Printed Automated Ice Skating Polar Bear

It's been a while since my last (and first) two creations, the Inchworm Caterpillar Automaton and Koi Fish Automaton. Ever since, I've had a third animal-themed mechanical piece in mind to complete a trio. And guess what, this is not the one!

Instead, I was inspired by the basic mechanics of a braiding machine, with the idea to make some kind of figure skating creature, which I thought would fit nicely with the Trip To The North Pole contest.

The inchworm and the koi fish were entirely made using CAD software. And while they do their job in conveying the basic idea of the respective animals, I knew this one would need some more detail to really work. So this time I challenged myself with learning some 3D modeling using Blender. It's not my strong suit, but I think I managed to make some pretty cute bears in the end, after a lot of trial and error.

So here's two polar bear friends figure skating on an ice floe!

Printing

As usual I used mostly standard settings, only changing to gyroid infill and lowering the infill percentage to 10%. The model requires no AMS and no supports.

The only thing to keep in mind is that the polar bears - while designed to be printed without supports - really benefit from using adaptive layer height to smooth out some of the steeper overhangs. My print profile has the bears printed by object instead of by layer, and adaptive layer height slider set to maximum quality, with additional smoothing. If the Polar bears fails despite this, I'd recommend using slim tree supports on the print bed only.

Ironing for the base and the cover is also very beneficial, but obviously takes a lot of time, which is why I left it out of my own print profile

34. 3D Printed Spiral Light Bulb

Variation on Spiral Fidget

This is not as simple a design to print as it might seem. Start printing LampExt.stl first, usually problems arise with this file, the part breaks in the base area. It seems to me that this is due to the plastic itself and or printing settings.
