I present to you my latest invention: a game of two dice with mechanical launch. You will say to me: "what is different from two traditional dice?", well I will answer that this model is more fun and especially much less noisy.

Great for RPGs.
Printing profiles will allow you to choose which dice you will need, D4, ,D6, D8, D10, D10 (tens), D12 and D20.
For example, you can place one wheel on the left D8 and the other wheel D20.

Its exclusive mechanism allows the launch of the two wheels at high speed. The gears on the wheels are of different diameters, which allows them to turn at a different speed, and make the results random. The rotation time is around 30 seconds, if you hit the button violently (not too much though!!!).
The wheels will stop when you release the button, and will necessarily stop on a face of the die.
The viewing windows are large and oblique so that each participant around a table can see the result.
You will need a few hardware to assemble this model (every maker have these hardware):
-Two 625ZZ ball bearings (degreased and lubricated beforehand)
-A ballpoint pen spring
-Four M4X20mm screws
-Four M3X12 screws (up to M3X20mm).

-Optional: 12 X10mm nuts for more velocity

important points:
-the pinion shaft is nothing more than a piece of filament (don't forget to shave it off with cutting pliers. See the assembly video)
-add a drop of glue between the button and the push finger

-Be careful about the direction of assembly of the pinion and to close the cover properly with the mechanism armed: push button upwards and the pinion at the stop with the push finger:
